How to Clean Your Phone to Prevent Acne
Many people focus on skincare products but forget that their phone touches their face every day.
Oil, sweat, makeup, and bacteria can collect on the screen and transfer back to the skin, which may contribute to clogged pores and breakouts.
Keeping your phone clean is a simple habit that can support clearer skin and better hygiene.
Start by turning off your phone and unplugging it from chargers or accessories. Use a soft microfiber cloth slightly dampened with water or an electronics-safe cleaning solution. Gently wipe the screen, sides, and back of the device. Avoid spraying liquid directly onto the phone or using harsh chemicals that may damage the surface.
It also helps to clean your phone case regularly because dirt and oil often build up around the edges. Wash removable cases with mild soap and warm water, then dry them completely before putting them back on the phone.
Try to avoid pressing your phone tightly against your face during long calls. Using earbuds or speaker mode can reduce skin contact. Cleaning your phone at least once a day, especially after workouts or travel, may help reduce acne-causing bacteria and keep both your skin and device fresher.
